The salty sea breeze made its way across the deck of the infamous pirate ship, The Black Pearl, as it made its way towards the endless horizon at its bow. Behind the hull, was the even more infamous captain, Jack Sparrow. With his usual smirk plastered upon his face, this daring and suave buccaneer stood behind the wheel of the legendary ship, adjusting its coarse ever now and then, while looking down at his broken compass.
"C'mon old friend, lead me in the right direction."
He said looking down at it. The compass just spun around and pointed in random directions, causing Jack's eye to twitch a bit. He snapped the compass shut and shoved it in his pocket and glowered across the deck infront of him at the bow of the ship. He blinked and then glanced over at Jack, the undead monkey who was seated on the side of the ship and staring at him.
"What're you lookin' at, eh? Shoo!"
He said pulling out his pistol and shooting the monkey. The small creature shrieked and ran off making all sorts of commotion as it went below deck.
"And stay away from me rum!"
He shouted down at it. He then chuckled to himself, highly amused by being able to shoot the blasted monkey whenever he felt like it.

Melissa sneezed quietly, giving the barrel that she was in a little shake. She looked around the barrel as if someone else was in there and had heard her, then looked out of the knot hole to see what was going on. She was now in the bottom most part of the ship, and it reaked of rum. Lifting her hands above her head to lift the cover, Melissa climbed out of the barrel and took a look around at where she was. 'The Black Pearl'. One of the most infamouse boats in the Carribbean, and she could hardly believe she had stowed away in it.
By her appearance, she didn't look quite old. And really, she wasn't that old either. In all honestly, she was only 16 years of age. But still, she was a pirate... Not much of a killing one, if it was needed, she was an excellent swordfighter. Melissa bit her bottom lip, wondering where this ship was headed. Suddenly she heard the screatch of a monkey headed towards her, and she jumped as it suddenly landed on her shoulder. She eyed it cautiously, and then seeing that it wasn't going to do any harm, she pet it nicely. Looking up from the bottom of the steps, she wondered what could be up there.
Melissa took one last glance around, and couldn't help her natural instincts from stealing one of the half empty bottles of rum. She stuffed the bottle into a pocket that was put on the inside of her raggedy brown skirt. Petting the monkey once again, Melissa cautiously began to make her way up the stairs and found herself in the sleeping cabins. She spotted a door and walked over to it, opening it slowly and peering outside. A strong waft of the sea air rushed through her nostrils, making her feel sea sick for two seconds. Looking around some more, she spotted a man at the helm, playing with a compass that didn't seem to work. To take a chance, or not. That is the question.

Jack yawned slightly and then stopped once he spotting a young girl at the foot of the steps. He blinked and raised one of his eyebrows slightly as he glanced around in case there were anymore little girls on board. He narrowed his eyes a moment and then pocketed his compass and headed over to the girl, eyeing her curiously.
"Who're you and what're you doin' here?"
He asked quickly to escape normal conversation or anything like that. He didn't want a long explanation as to why she clearly stowed away hidden somewhere. He glanced down at her skirt and then held his hand out to her.
"Bottle please."
How he knew she had stuffed one of the bottles of rum into her pocket under her skirt was beyond anyone, cept him of course. He had the nose for rum.

Melissa was slightly shocked when he came barging after her, yelling at her to know who she was. She decided she wasn't in the mood to tell anyone who she was, but it might happen later. Giving a small smirk, she shrugged as to answer his to questions. Hearing him tell her to give back the bottle, she was slightly shocked that he would even know. She raised an eyebrow curiously, and lifted her skirt up to reach the bottle.
Before he could catch her, she quickly took a swig of it, and then handed it back to him. She would at least get something out of it. Now crossing her arms across her chest, she continued to look at Jack curiously. Which really wasn't something she should be doing, but him instead. After all, it was her who had stowed away on his ship.
"Well then. If you have to be that way.... I'm not all that sure I feel like tellin' you who I am."
[-sigh- not as good as first one -nod nod- oh well]

He resisted the urge to look but managed to look away when she lifted her skirt up to get to the bottle. Once it was back in his hand he raised his eyebrow at it being half empty.
"Ah. Nevermind. Keep it."
He said as he handed it back to her and then went up to the helm and checked the ship's course once more.
"And keep your name to yourself while yer at it, love."
He added, not really feeling up to dealing with an arrogant teenager at the moment.

Melissa raised an eyebrow as he handed the bottle back to her. She smirked and nodded as if saying, 'if you say so.' She took another drink from the bottle, and followed him up to the helm, looking over his shoulder as he checked the ships course. Backing away a little, she turned around and took another swig of the powerful drink. She'd never really been able to get her hands on some rum very often, but cherished the moment when she did. Closing the bottle up, she lifted her skirt again to put it back into the inside pocket.
As she turned to Jack she swayed a little. Being young made rum have an even more powerful affect on her body. It didn't take to much to get her a little buzzed. She pointed her finger up at Jack but noticed he couldn't see her since she was behind him. She then decided get infront of him, and pointed a finger at him as if accusing him of something. Though she couldn't really help why she was pointing at him, she had to add words to the gesture, or she might look like a complete lunatic.
"You.... You're... Back... Rack... no, no, those aren't it.... Jack! Aha ha. That is it. Jackedy bumbling Sparrow head."
Melissa giggled slightly and put her finger down. She now got closer to him, giggling all the way, so that she could whisper in his ear.
"You know, you've got a rather strange name if you do ask me."
[Sorry... had to make her drunk just this once... tis very fun -nod nod- she will go straight after a few yelling -nod nod- -gigglsnort-]

He blinked boredly down at his compass that he'd pulled out while she was behind him and then looked up to find a finger pointing straight inbetween his eyes. He blinked again and then raised an eyebrow at her remark.
"Aye, that'd be me. And I take it that you're...crazy?"
He asked as he gently pushed her finger aside so she wouldn't stumble forward and poke one of his eyes out. He watched her and then smirked.
"Too young for rum, love. You'll send yerself to an early grave, ye will."
He said, stuffing the compass back into his pocket and placing his hands upon the helm to steer.

Melissa laughed at his comment. Both his comments really. She shook her head, disagreeing with both of them and rested her hands on her hips. Didn't matter if he knew who she was, she was a pirate, and a pretty good one at that. No records on her, because no one believed her to have any position in anything bad that had ever happened. That all happened because of her 'Sweet and Innocent' age. Rubbish that all was, but it sure did help once in a while.
"I am Melissa thank you very much. My name was never crazy.... Mel, actually if you please. Less formal then that rat name i was given at birth."
Melissa gave a small giggle and got the bottle out again, taking another drink. She know hugged the bottle to her chest like it was a beloved teddy bear. She closed her eyes and swayed back and forth for a few seconds before feeling a little more down.
"I am doubtful it will be I who will have an early grave, matey. T'was you who I took the bottle from lad. And there was much more rum down in that hell hole as well. So it now seems that I am not the one basing my whole life around a stupid... Tastey, might i add, drink."

He smirked at how quirky and witful she was at his comments and had to hand it that she was quite piratey like himself. He watched her hug the bottle of rum and then shook his head.
"I'm not the one hugging a rum bottle, love. And also, I don't get drunk that easily, or that often."
He added, to make sure it sounded like he was a man who knew how to hold his rum. Which he did, rather well.
