Melissa looked down and realized that he was right and quickly had her hands go down by her side, but still holding onto the rum bottle tightly. She gave a small frown and rolled her eyes as he said he didn't get drunk that easily or that often. How was she to know that was the truth? He was a pirate after all, and it was pirates who were the most to often get drunk. But still she sighed and gave a small nod. Stepping farther away from him, she turned her back to him and looked sadly at the bottle. She knew it was time to put it away, but it was just so hard to do so. Finally giving a deep sigh, Melissa took one last sip and was about to put it away again, when she realized it was finally empty.
Looking at the bottle quizically, she turned back around to face Jack as if it were his fault that all the rum was gone. Well, technically not all the rum, seeing as how there was still a load left down in the bottom of the boat, but all her rum was gone. She marched back up to him and was about to say something, when she gave a loud hiccup, and the bottle slipped from her hand, and rolled away, falling down the steps. Melissa watched the bottle go sadly and turned back to Jack, completely forgetting what she had been about to do.
"Mr. Sparrowhead... Jackelbean bumlefool... ha ha ha, funny name. Gets me every time.... Oh yes, Mr. Sparrow, i want to sleep. Give me a bed."
Melissa began to sway slightly and let herself plop down onto the deck, her eyes getting very droopy, as she began to drift off to sleep. Very bad pirating right there, never close your eyes around someone who could possibly turn to an enemy. But still, she was tired, for she had traveled in a cramped barrel for some time, and that was no good for sleeping in.

He sighed and took her arm and pulled her up to her feet. He then picked her up in his arms and carried her down below deck and plopped her down into a hammock.
"You men are to leave her be. When she wakes and is sober again, don't let her near the rum. Send her to my office."
He told the men as they stood there staring at the girl. Jack then went back up and into his cabin where he shut the door behind him.

Melissa could feel herself being picked up, but did nothing about it. As she was set down into a hammock, she didn't bother to look around, but instead got on her side and fell straight to sleep. As she woke up again she could hear faint snoring around her. Perhaps it was nighttime, and everyone else had fallen asleep. Would be the perfect time to get rum again, but that would be letting her guard down yet again. Shaking the urge off, Melissa got out of the hammock and stretched. She headed for the door that led to the deck and opened it, only to have someone's face in hers.
"Ah, you'd be the girl who stowed away, now aren't you. Well the captain has orders for you to go up to office when you've awaken. I don't know why he keeps you though, always bad luck to have a woman onboard."
The man shook his head disaprovingly, and remembered that Melissa was still infront of him. He sighed and pointed to where Jack's office was, and let her go on her way. He sat back down in the chair outside the door, picking up some rum that had been hiding underneath the seat, and had taken some swigs before falling to sleep.
Melissa headed towards the direction the fellow had said was Jack's office, and when she finally arrived, she knocked three times before turning around and examining the whole boat. She hadn't done that earlier, but instead had just seen Jack at the helm. Now she could see the whol thing, and it was truley beautiful. One of the finest she'd sailed on in all her years of pirating... Which really wasn't long, but she had been on a lot of boats, so that made up for it. Turning back around to face the door, she waited for Jack to open it... That is, if he wasn't sleeping like the others.

Jack lifted his eyes from his compass and map when hearing the three knocks and then stood up and headed over to the door. He opened the door and looked down at her as she had her back turned to examine the boat. He smirked slightly watching her.
"The Pearl is the fastest and most beautiful pirate ship there is, love. Get used to it."
He said as he stepped aside so she could come into his office and have a seat in the chair infront of his desk.

Jumping at the sound of his voice, she quickly turned around to see Jack. She had to agree with him, it was a beautiful ship, but she wasn't going to agree with him out loud. Nodding, she stepped into his office and saw the chair infront of his desk. Seeing that that was where he wanted to be, she walked over to the seat and sat down.
"Well i'm here Captain. What was it you wished to talk about? Thinking about taking me ashore to the next port you find? Dosn't matter if you do, i could just as easily worm my way back on board...."
Melissa sighed and looked around the room. Not the best, but deffinatley not the worst office she'd seen. Turning to view Jack better, she raised an eyebrow, as if challenging him to take her ashore, just to see that she could get back on. And she had done it before, quite easily. No one can get rid of her that easily.

He smirked as he followed behind her and then went around his desk and sat down across from her. His hands folding together lightly on the top of the desk infront of him. His office was rather clean, unlike other parts of the boat. This was his niche on the ship, and he preferred it to be clean and neat.
"Well...I wouldn't pass up the chance to have such a pretty little girl on my ship. So, you're welcome to try out for a spot on the crew."
He said leaning back in his chair a bit and watching her.

Melissa gave a small smiled and nodded. A spot on his crew could work. It sure would beat having to spend an hour in a barrel everytime she wanted to get on board a filthy ship.
"Well then, i believe this is more of what i'm asking for.... Though i do request, to never call me a 'pretty little girl' again. You wouldn't want me to go around saying to people that you were 'the sweetest man you could meet.' Mightn't it ruin some of your pirate record to be known as a 'sweet' guy, rather then a vicious pirate?"
Melissa sighed, and closed her eyes. Though being called pretty didn't ruin her reputation as a pirate, 'little girl' sure did. No one wants to be a little girl when they were well on their way to becoming a full grown adult. Peeking one eye back open, she added on,
"And just for you to know, i'm not a little girl anyway. I am 16 years old. I am a young woman, Thank you very much."
[sorry, not so good -sigh- -blah-]

"Oh, my sincerest apologies. I had no idea."
He said sarcastically. As for the 'sweetest man alive', it wouldn't ruin him. It'd give him a chance to basque in the glow of millions of lovely women. Now for the test.
"Alright, love. Tell me why you'd make a decent pirate on me ship."

Melissa couldn't help but laugh some-what at the word 'decent'. No pirate was ever decent, but if he would ask. Let's see, what would she do onboard? Well she was an okay cook, but she refused to become one... She was tiny, which could always come in handy with small places. She was also good with a sword and pistol, though he'd probably want proof of that. Melissa bit her bottom lip and thought for a moment.
"Well, i would make a 'decent' pirate on your ship, because for one i'm a lady... And as all men are pigs, they are always entertained by one. For second reasons, I am small, and have good reflexes, handy when you need to get in or out of things quickly. I as well am good at sword fighting, and using a pistol. Cooking could be labeled as one of my talents, but i wish not to become one.... There anything else you would like to know, 'Captain'?"
[hey, sorry i gotta go now -nod nod- might be on later or something -sigh- see ya]

He watched her carefully as she spoke and folded his arms over his chest. He smirked throughout her little answer and then shrugged lightly at her question.
"Consider yourself in. But, you won't be part of the crew you saw before down in the sleeping chamber. Don't want a young lady like yourself having to deal with drunk and lusty men."
He stood up and then walked around the desk and sat on the front of it just a few feet away from her.
"So you can be your own crew. Still under my captaining of course."

Melissa eyed him suspiciously crossing her arms across her chest as well. Part of her own crew? And what was that supposed to mean? Melissa sighed and looked around the room once, befor turning back to him.
"Part of my own crew? And what crew would that be, if i'm the only one in it? As well as the question, I wouldn't mind knowing as to where I am supposed to sleep while I'm here?"
Melissa un-crossed her arms and began to play with a strand of hair, twirling it around her finger. She had the right to know the answer to the questions, and she had better get them. From what she had seen so far, there weren't any other sleeping cabins, but she also hadn't seen the whole ship yet. And she still wanted to know, exactly where were they headed anyway?
[i'm back if you hadn't noticed -nod nod- -sigh- wasn't gone for as long as i'd hoped i would be -sigh- oh well]

Jack smirked and then stood up and walked around his office, examining all his belongings and treasures.
"We'll have a storage room cleared out for you. How's that?"
He said watching her as he fiddled with a feathered hat he'd collected from Spain.

A storage room? Well she would certainly feel at home there. Sighing, Melissa stood up from the seat and followed him as he examined his office. Then again, a storage room really would feel a lot like home, seeing as how she could stand being in a barrel for some time. Melissa finally shrugged in responce.
"A storage room could be alright. But i must ask, as to what I'd be doing on board the ship. Would i be able to have a fair share in the action, adventure, and the profit?"
That is Melissa. Always asking question, and always getting on peoples nerves. But that was also how she had always learned things. She wasn't afraid to ask questions, even personal questions if she must. She needs to know about people, places, things that are going on, and she stores it all. As if she had files in her brain, and she could sort them out, easily as that. As Jack began to fiddle with a feather, she remembered seeing feathers like them in spanish ports, and was about to say so when she heard the monkey from earlier screatching outside the door. Before Jack could react, she opened the door, and let the monkey climb up onto her shoulder, scratching under it's chin playfully.
[oh my goodness! did you know that they came out with a POTC: The Lengend of Jack Sparrow game? wow, i'm so excited, it's in stores now i think it would be fun to play it -nod nod- very fun indeed -sigh-]

Jack smirked and nodded.
"Yes, that is if you think you can keep up with me and the men."
He said grinning. He then yelped when seeing the blasted undead monkey hop up on her shoulder and pulled out his pistol and pointed it at it.
"Get the monkey out."

Melissa scowled and got the monkey off of her shoulder and instead cradled it like a baby. She didn't know that the monkey was undead, and didn't want him to shoot at it. As far as she knew, it hadn't done anything to him. She raised an eyebrow and stuck her tounge out, turning her back on Jack as a way of protecting the monkey.
"And why should I Captain? What exactly has the monkey done to you? If I am processing this correctly, it's actually just that the monkey is scared... And i wonder why?"
She said the last bit sarcastically. Obviously the monkey was frightened of Jack, seeing as how he was pointing a pistol at it. Sighing, Melissa turned back around and gave a small sneer before opening the door again, and letting the monkey go outside.
"Do you have monkey issues or something? Had a bad experiance with one once?"
